2009

National Health Information Awards for both Weight Loss Confidential and Weight Loss Confidential Journal. Chosen from among more than 1,000 entries by a national panel of experts. These awards recognize "the nation's best consumer health information programs and materials."

Mom's Choice Award for Weight Loss Confidential, Silver Recipient: Family & Parenting - Health, Nutrition, Fitness & Safety. The Mom's Choice Awards are known for establishing the benchmark of excellence in family-friendly media, products and services.

American Dietetic Association Media Excellence Award for "consistent nutrition reporting" in Anne's books, magazine and newsletter articles, website writing, and media appearances over the course of her more than two decade career as a health and medical journalist. The Research Society on Alcoholism Journalism Award for her book, Sober for Good: New Solutions for Drinking Problems-Advice From Those Who Have Succeeded. This award is for work that has a major impact on public knowledge, is scientifically accurate, shows dedication to the cause, and has journalistic quality.

Outstanding Contributions to Advancing the Understanding of Addictions Award from the American Psychological Association's Division 50. This award is given for outstanding media portrayal, contribution to key legislation, or other contributions that have been made to advancing the understanding of the addictions.

"Distinguished Friend to Behavior Therapy Award," given by the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies. This award goes to individuals or organizations who have been dedicated to heightening the lay public's awareness and appreciation of cognitive-behavioral treatment approaches for problems such as addictions and obesity.
